Proteins

Whey for example, milk proteins , will be forwarded to the intestine quickly , in less than 45 minutes and will be used around the clock and drive to bring amino acids to the muscles quickly. Casein, another major protein of milk requires a longer digestion. As "slow" protein, it will be used to make amino acids gradually the body ( anti- catabolic protein) , a bit like the "slow" sugars to compare with carbohydrates. It is therefore take before bedtime or during the day .

Another benefit of protein powder milk is that it is free from fat and almost contain more sugars , including lactose , poorly tolerated by the digestive system sugar.

Protein quality !
Most protein supplements are extracted from milk because milk proteins have a high digestibility and biological value. The egg proteins are very good, but expensive , as aus soy protein, they are good but do not have good reputation among practitioners training.

To assess the quality of a protein , an index called biological value which is related to the ratio between the treated and those ingested protein is used. You can also use the chemical index that compares the amino acid profile of the protein compared to a standard , egg protein .
The biological value can not exceed 100 (104 with 4% error often used to enhance the whey ) since it is not possible to assimilate more protein than ingested. However, the chemical index can exceed 100 because the amino acid profile of whey protein exceeds that of the egg in terms of quality . These two indices are often confused , remember that the biological value can not exceed 100 .

You can combine several different protein sources to improve the amino acid profile and increase the chemical index. This is the case of tri- blend protein like whey , casein and egg that has a good chemical index .
